You should be able to go to some church or school hall for safety.
You don't need to be home if things get dangerous still.
You also need not spend money.
I'm sure the government and local cities have places to go with cots, beds, meals and comfort.
We are fine. I'm sitting in our home office on my dsl-juiced computer. The satellite is hummin' FNC in the living room. The fridge is keeping the beer cold. Our problem is that we had a vacation planned for next weekend at the Florida panhandle and it is all messed up. We are just looking for an alternate destination.
And yes, there are shelters set up throughout the region, and also fundraisers underway for those who had suffered losses.
