Damn. Sorry to hear it KP. Condolences.
Sorry for your loss. Takes a while but time heals these wounds.
All the best.
Oh, King!
I am soooooo sorry. Trust me, I am crying right now. I think I have told you I have had my Musica kitty for 21 years -- if anything happened to her I would be devastated. I still grieve for her sister who died 5 years ago.
Prayers for you and your family (I mean it -- many people don't know that a pet like this is like a son/daughter/brother/sister).
OH, King! I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. May the LORD who comforts the afflicted give peace to your heart.
Oh geeze.
I cannot ease the hurt, and I'm afraid that anything I say won't be 'good enough'.
I understand.
See you when you get back this way.
I lost my Romey last Friday. He was at least 14 yrs.
old. I had lost track of his age. Romey was a black and
white kitty. So polite and such a gentleman. - I had
first named him Juliet as a kitten, thinking he was a
girl, but the vet's office called and told me she was a he
back when I took him to be fixed. I guess he just died of
old age. So sorry about your kitty, too.
Family collaboration that I fear doesn't do justice.
If it doesn't suit, please forgive.
He came padding on silent paws
A quiet wraith of love, wrapped in fur
With gifts of mice & voles under claws,
knowing you'd be proud for sure.
Unquestioning love given
as if straight from Heaven
Feline grace straight and proud
Tail held high, swaying around
Clear eyed pride on four paws
seemingly without vice or flaws.
Strange furry son, you've gone away....
I'll stay behind waiting for a brighter day.
Great
I am now crying a river (thank God I am alone in a hotel room).
Well, these are good, cleansing tears, begat of love, if sad.
But check with us beforwe you post a profound and moving poem again, OK?
It makes me miss my cat even more...
:-(
My condolences -- you have only to read the thread to see the feelings of all of us for our 4-legged partners in this world.
My wife always says that to see true nobility you have but to look at our pets. And to see true humanity, you have but to llok at how a person treats his/her pets.
Of course, with cats, there is always the issue of who is the "pet."
I never want to go to a heaven that doesn't have my late beloved Neysa and my Musica (when she chooses to join Neysa). My wife's collie had better be there too. Or we won't go.
Thanks, kid
But I haven't lost anyone lately Twinkle and KP have my sympathy. (I am not pinging KP since he is greiving).
Luckily I haven't lost any pets for a couple of years. My cat (who's living with my parents) is over 15 years old now. He's still doing fine, thankfully.
Cool looking cat. Very sorry for your loss.
Remember the good stuff.
That's very nice, Darks. My Agnes used to hunt voles, before she got too stiff. Now she just hunts a sunbeam away from the babies :-).
I'm sorry for your loss. :-(
Sorry for your loss, King. I still think about my favorite dog I put to sleep 12 years ago. Take care,
IA
I assume indoor only at that age.
Gracias a Dios -- pray for your cat nightly (I do mine -- 21 is like 110 years old in Human Years).
