People are smoking something if they don't think we're fighting a proxy war against Iran. We're fighting the same war as Saddam in the 80's. The Tigris R. is the Yalu R. is the Tigris, etc.
I think a few suprise Tomahawk strikes in downtown Tehran might raise the price for Iran's interference, and you might see the foreign jihadis dry up to a degree in the streets of Al-Falujah.
Really, Iraq is Morocco in 1942. Bush did the Arabs (and himself) a favor by going after Saddam first, a chance to extricate themselves peaceably before the real putsch. Tehran will be Berlin 1945 assuming Bush gets reelected.

A little more detail would be nice, I agree the real target is Iran but we don't have the troops to occupy Iraq and go into Iran. I think hope was Iran would rebell once US Forces were on the border.
