I stand by my original post that a few folks are being a bit negative and not thinking through things. I'll also add to you list, Australian aboriginies who was technically white also. This is more of an issue about culture to me.

Oh, I wouldn't call Zimbabwe part of the anti-blaxploitation bit. It's Mugabe's political coup d'êtat. He's persecuted blacks as well as whites and is trying to paint this as a racial thing so no one interferes with his dictatorship. Check out the facts -- more blacks have been killed, tossed into prison etc. by him than whites.

One fact that is usually overlooked is that when a white farm family is dispossed so are their Black employees. Many Blacks are losing their jobs in order to give land to Mugabe's "war veteran" supporters.

Strictly speaking, you are correct. By "White," I mean of European stock and probably Christian, though as of late Jews have been accorded the status of "White," which is one of the reasons why the left hates them.

In politically-correct parlance, though, even a blue-eyed blond-haired Turkish Muslim is not "White" while a swarthy, black-haired Sicilian Christian is.

I should have added that while Arabs are considered "White" for US census purposes, recently some have demanded that they be given their own separate category. I don't know if other middle easterner groups are demanding the same thing. To the left, people of non-European Christian or Jewish stock are by definition non-White, even if they are white-skinned.

True, most likely the Indians would take over Eastern Africa -- after all, most of the economy in East and South Africa is run by indian merchants. Yes, Zimbabwe is NOT a race thing and if we try to potray it as that we play into Mugabe's hands. It's a dictatorship pure and simple. Mugabe is the same asHitler -- he's targetting aminority group and exterminating his enemies from the majority group as well. I doubt he really cares about the colour as long as he stays in power.

Normally in Africa, the administration is pretty ably run by Western Europeans, the business by Indians and other things by Africans. If the first two get out, the last group goes into decay -- as in Uganda.
