Had the Republican party actually still cared about the conservative vote, maybe those 4 million conservatives would have bothered to show up.

"None of the above" is an answer. Repeating that it is not, does not make it unacceptable. Until the ballot gives me only the two choices, with a blank ballot also not an option, then "none of the above" is my answer. This is completely ignoring the question of who you're voting for (or even if you're voting at all). And since "none of the above" is not a possible outcome, you're left with the outcome of Bush or a Democrat. Which one do would you prefer?

"If The GOP is going to put its neck on the line for the folks who actually vote for GOP candidates--not for folks (like you) who are very long on demands and very short on votes."
If adherence to the original meaning and intent of the Constitution is now an unnaceptable demand on Republican candidates, then the Republican party can kiss my ass. Frankly it's the "moderate" milquetoast Bush-lovers that have the problem, not the principled conservatives among us. For those with actual principles, a vote for Bush is no better than any of the Democrats. Bush has shown his hand and the effective result is no different.
It is you people that are in the difficult position. You actually see some kind of difference between Bush and the Democrats. Evidently that difference has nothing to do with Constitutional rights or retraints on federal power, but no matter. It's just better, in your mind, to have a tyrant with an (R) next to his name. So, in your "moderation", you are allowing us principled conservatives to hold your party hostage and force a loss. Well too bad, so sad. The RNC appears to finally have drifted so far left that it is no longer a viable choice to those with principles. True conservatives have little, if anything, to lose from a Democrat win. If the moderates want to stay on the winning side, then they'll have to follow those that are willing to take their principles and walk when it's neccessary.

"The GOP is going to put its neck on the line for the folks who actually vote for GOP candidates--not for folks (like you) who are very long on demands and very short on votes."SO, as long as you stay on the reservation, play the game the way the powers that be demand, don't question authority and by all means, don't demand people to be held to a higher standard, then the GOP is for you? You, sir, are part of the problem.
"For what it's worth, I have a six-year-old daughter who's much more mature than you are. She understands that "holding her breath until she turns blue" is not a recipe for getting her way."
As to your daughter, do you ever discipline her? Does she ever disappoint you> When she disobeys or disappoints, do you look the other way because she does other good things, or do you get her back focused on being the person you want her to be?. Unconditional love does not work in politics...tough love is needed.

We will not get out of it overnight. Self serving Bravo Sierra. Would could get out of it if the Republicans had the cojones to do what is RIGHT by their oath of office and the Constitution. Mature adults wouldn't have to sit there and make excuses for lame ass candidates.
49% of the voting age, and voting elligible, population STAYED HOME last election. Only slightly less than half of that elected Bush through the brilliance of the electoral college. Keep crowing about having only 25% of the population backing you.
And you wonder why the poll numbers look horrible? Don't keep making the mistake of thinking the rest of us are as dumb as you are.

You didn't ask me who WOULD win.True.
You asked who I WANTED to win.
False. I asked which one of the two you would prefer, without respect to your vote.
And "none of the above" is certainly a more than reasonable answer to that question.
It is acceptable only if you're a moral coward.
I want neither of them to win.
The Universe doesn't give a hoot what you want.

49% of the voting age, and voting elligible, population STAYED HOME last election.Which indicates that they're content, overall, with the direction the country's going. Notice that they sure as hell didn't vote for your candidate.

I don't think you're as dumb as I am. I think you're expontentially dumber than I am, and far dumber as you are right now than I would be if I were to suddenly get Alzheimer's or dementia.

I don't NEED an answer.
But the gyrations y'all go through to evade giving a straight answer say a great deal about you.

"Actually, they've been pandering to leftists for a little while longer than that. "Bush has been going downhill slowly since the neo-con takeover of his administration. He needs to lop off the heads of those who bamboozled him on Iraq and that dividend tax cuts would produce jobs.

We've tried giving you answers. You don't want to accept them. There ain't a nickel's worth of difference between the two choices, so I choose "None of the above". Period.

Mature adults understand this. When you become one, let us all know.
Are mature adults prone to posting or suggesting vulgarities? Do they thump their cyberchests and post like Inquisitorial thugs? Are you under the impression that such conduct seizes the high ground of maturity?

Would could get out of it if the Republicans had the cojones to do what is RIGHT by their oath of office and the Constitution.Unfortunately, the first thing the Republicans would have to do to make your proposed effort stick would be to suspend the Constitutionally-required elections--or figure out a way to revoke the franchise to all but their loyal supporters, of equally dubious Constitutionality.

No matter how often it is repeated it will still be incorrect.
For those of us living in the real world, yes it is... Vote for the Oompa-Loompas if you wish, our next President will come from either the GOP or DemocRATS. If you vote for the Oompa-Loompa, that is one less vote the Rats need to take the White House. I hope you don't live in Florida.
