There is no reason to think that any sort of "2nd revolution" is necesarry at all.

I'm not amputating my foot to spite the wart on my toe.

I'd rather not sacrifice an entire generation to an avoidable war that will kill millions, whose outcome is anything but certain.

I just can't see it that way. :/

Pretending something is so in order to stroke your own ego and avoid admitting a simple error is very telling about a person's character. What it tells is more more troubling than someone being "anal", whatever that means.

Enough said.

some folks here don't seem to have enough brain cells to realize that you can support a candidate even if they don't meet your preferences 100%.

Well rub those brain cells together and tell me what percentage you support of his domestic policy?

Do you support his prescription plan for seniors?

How bout his expanded federal involvement in education?

His expansion of the NEA? do you support that?

How about his willingness to sign the nations biggest pork bill in history into law? Did you support that?

Did you support his extension of unemployment benefits in perpetuity?

How about his growing of medicare? Did you support that?

Did you support his statement of affirmation in support of assault weapons bans?

How about his massive increases in foreign aid?

His giving Clinton a pass of prosecution? Did you support that?

So, you're tired of people who don't subscribe to your particular stripe of conservatism....

When Pat Buchanan or some other "paleo" wins more than 1% of the vote in a national election, page me.

I repeat...What's your suggestion?

Save your preaching for the other leftists of your kind.

More of that breathtaking arrogance, you guys really take it to an art form...

Someone disagrees with you on the best strategy on how to get conservative values implemented in the political arena.... so they are automatically a leftist in your mind.

Sorry, YOU are the only advocating actions and ideals that will assist a leftist in taking the White House. How quickly will Kerry shackle America to the will and whim of the U.N. and the socialists in charge?

Goody for you, you worked and campaigned... so did many of us. Not enough of us or not hard enough, because the LEFTISTS convinced more mushy middles to cross to the Dark Side and the whole country has been turning pink.

It was you who chose to be insulting.

You can live with the result.

You are not a leftist because you disagree with me.

You are a leftist because you support the government seizure and redistribution of wealth at gunpoint.

Don't like the sound of it?

Maybe you need to rethink your position.

Stop cheerleading.

Start criticizing.

If you don't criticize it.... they think you like it.

"What it tells is more more"

What's that story about a spec in someone else's eye, and a log in your own

Now get yourself a dictionary and a mirror and look up the word "anal" and it will all make sense to you, in your Nickelodeon world

"Nope... the most distasteful thing on the right is the arrogance of some who assuming anyone trying to make sure Bush stays in the White House is blindly cheerleading for him. It's that same arrogance that makes folks like you so ridiculously blind about how destructive your strategy is to the right"

If President Bush is "the right", then the right is now "the left". Voting for Bush DID NOTHING to advance the cause of "the right". His utter disregard for the Constitution and our money is at a level that the Democrats can only hope to match. There is no effective difference between Bush and the Democratic candidate. It is those that are willing to cling to the Bush/RNC bandwagon at any cost that are hurting the cause of "the right".

Why do you vote for the Republican candidate anyway? On what principles? And would it be possible for the Republican candidate to abandon that platform to the point that you would actually change your vote? If not, then you are blindly being led to the slaughter. I might share the same fate, but at least my eyes are open and I'm willing to put up a fight.

Not to mention that a Democrat being elected in office (Kerry) in 2004 would have an economy that is ramping up working in his favor and it is unlikely that it would crater by 2008, thus the Democrat (Kerry) would have a greater chance for re-election in 2008, effectively locking Hillary Clinton OUT from EVER running for President. The soonest she'd be able to run would be 2012 and she'd be age 65 then and I find it highly unlikely that Americans would vote a woman that old into the highest office of the land.

"I'm not amputating my foot to spite the wart on my toe."

But when you allow that "wart" to remain, untreated, and spread to many "warts" and it soon infects your whole body and becomes much worse, then shame on you. I'm not saying to amputate...I say treat...and the treatment is uniting now and showing GWB we are serious, not forgiving. And if not heard, amputation is the next thing needed to save the body.

I would agree if the situation wasn't so tenuous. I believe the War on Terror is the number one priority for the next 10 years. The threat of Islamic terror must be defeated. There is only one candidate running for President, with a legitimate chance of winning, who will continue the fight.

I will not give the Democrats the opportunity to make 2 possibly 3 appointments to the Supreme Court either, which is what your strategy of "deal with in now rather than later" will accomplish.

So, I may have a pain in my body... but I will not cut my nose off to spite my face in hopes that is the cure.

Anyone who votes for a minor third-party isn't throwing away their vote...They've simply marginalized themselves, and have become a non-entity in the nation's political process.

Did you see the list posted on FR last week of conservative positions Bush has taken in his first 36 months in office? I printed it out. The list was seven pages long. Seven pages of itemized conservative positions from this Administration, and you pick on what?...one or two pet peeves? You say you're tired of "neos-" attacking "conservatives", but I'm tired of people who have narrowed the "conservative" position down to one or two pet issues and positions. If you can't see the big picture, you're not much use to the conservative movement in this country.

Well rub those brain cells together and tell me what percentage you support of his domestic policy?

Most of those I don't support.

I did support the changes to Medicare, but then again so did Newt.

The increases to foreign aid I support if they resulted from deals with countries that are helping us quietly scoop up terrorists (for example the base we promised Yemen).

NEA I don't like but it's a piddly amount really. I will, however, support it entirely if Bush has been planning to use that increase to the NEA as political cover to yank funding from the CPB (which looks like it will be going into play).

The more important question here which gives YOU a chance to rub your brain cells together.... how much of each item has the backing of more than half the American voter pool? THAT is political reality and THAT is where we are falling down on the job and THAT is what Bush is stuck dealing with.
