Sounds to me that the border has tightened if the amount of siezures has gone up so dramatically???????

It's a dog and pony act.

Both Clinton and Bush tightened up on the border... leaving little manpower for interior enforcement. The American Interior is the problem.

Under Bush, as under Clinton, 90% of all deported Illegals are apprehended within three days of crossing the border. Once an Illegal gets to the American Interior, they are nearly home free.

The Border is where Clinton and Bush have both pretended to be protecting American sovereignty. What happens in the in Interior gives lie to that claim.

I have never said there wasn't a problem, All I am saying is that with a border as vast as our is with Mexico. The idea that our border can be patrolled is laughable. Identification is one answer and jailing any employer who hires illegals is another. But try and get Congress to pass any kind of National ID card legislation and the same people screaming about this non existent proposal will have their knickers in a twist like never before
