MEE-OWCH! Could a catfight be brewing between "Saturday Night Live" newscaster Tina Fey and right-wing pundit Ann Coulter?

While presenting Al Franken with his comedy trophy at yesterday's New York Magazine Awards, Fey lauded the liberal author of "Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right" for skewering the likes of Coulter and Bill O'Reilly, adding: "Have you ever seen Ann Coulter in person? It's like seeing a rat. It's like, ewwww!"

Well, I don't know about a drown rat, but Coulter definitely looks and sounds like she has some mental problems going on. The woman has trouble putting a complete sentence together most of the time.

Sorry to disappoint, but now, not a fat chick and not a liberal... not a chick at all and not a liberal at all. Sorry if I don't drink from the Ann Colter's the hottest thing since the tamale kool-aid some here do.

She's not ugly, but she's way to lanky for my tastes, definately not what I consider a "hottie". Fey is also not hard on the eyes. Neither are beauty queens in my book, though I believe they are both interesting intelligent women.

Ann is a rabid conservative author and pundit, to me she comes across way too type A at times, but so be it. Fey brought SNL back from the dead... is the first female head writer the show has had, and based on the measurement her industry is judged by (ratings) her reign has been a success.

I fail to understand that on a board that claims to be fighting about "ideas" the conversation is centering around appearances.... seems crazy to me. Coulter is not hard on the eyes, and she is intelligent and articulate... however she definately comes across to me as wound way too tight at times.

Ideologically I might like Coulter more than Fey, but honestly I think Fey would be much more fun to be around day to day. Nothing against Coulter, just my perception.

I happen to think Ann is delightful on the eyes, and made more so by her breathtakingly sharp wit. It is precisely her 'take no prisoners' approach to column writing that I appreciate the most. In a nation where politicians use words like "falsehood" instead of "lie", I enjoy her blunt style. Maybe it's red meat, but I think conservatives in this country are very, very hungry after begging for morsels for decades from the "mainstream" liberal news media.

One measure of Ann's effectiveness is how much she is despised by liberal scumbags like Tina Fey, who clearly demonstrated her rabid hatred with her out-of-the-blue, unprovoked, rude public comment. At an awards show, for crying out loud.

By the way, I find SNL unwatchable anymore, but if you say it's actually not too bad, I'll give it a couple more tries and let you know.

Actually, the show's ratings have been sinking. And the "dead" years of SNL in the 90s were much funnier than the present.

One other comment -- what progress is there for SNL to have its first female head writer, yet that writer's sense of humor almost solely (other than the obligatory Bush-bashing) consists of attacking other women for their looks. Especially when that female head writer is hardly a beauty queen herself. I don't think she'd like it if people called her, oh, "Scarface," perhaps Tina Fey should keep her mouth shut about other women's looks.
