Nope. Translation: we must eliminate the Democrats hold over government power. If you have a workable plan for doing that via some other political party other than the Republican Party, I'm all ears. Please lay it on us.

I have a plan for doing it, that doesn't necessarily involve any political party at all.

Could be participated in by republicans, libertarians, the apolitical... hell even the d-word.

It involves old-fashioned political activism.

Not political partyism... but political activism.

Like the kind this website used to do.

Like full page ads in the Washington Times...

Fundamentalism of the Constitutional sort.

You have the potential to unite all these people in common purpose... but you keep dividing them with the GOP "us or them" mentality.

The prize is supposed to be a Limited Federal Constituional Republic that recognizes the chains the constitution places on it. Not a whole bunch of guys with a "R" on their team jersey, who tax and spend like drunken liberals.

Work for the prize.

Free Republic is the ultimate example of the importance of the Internet.

I am sorry that I only found it in July. Before that, I had no one to talk to about my concerns (which are parallel to yours).

The contribution of all FReepers has resulted in an exponential growth in my knowledge of political and even historical matters.

If only the Repubs were in sync with the majority philosophy on FR!

Thank You.

I am thinking about that almost everyday Jim.

As long as the Rats are as evil as they are; the Republicans can become as liberal as they please and the conservative vote is taken for granted. The infestation of the Republican Party is well on its way. Wait until Arnold starts… You and I both know this is ocurring.

There has to be a more effective way then just debating and agreeing on issues (You and I agree on 99% from what I have seen) then just voting for the Republican ticket.

If that is the case, then The Free Republic is just an arm of the RNC, an instant check of the mood and convictions of the posters. And not forgetting the daily foundation of 99% of all conservative Talk Radio hosts programing.

I have learned more about America from this website than any other source in my life. I am pleased to be able to post here and have discussion with other conservatives and Liberals.

I do. Register as a democrat and vote for the least likely candidate in their primaries. In the last gubernatorial campaign in Maryland over 100,000 registered democrats voted for an unkown, zero funded, and never mentioned green grocer against Kathleen Kennedy Townsend. Those votes were made by voters who supported (now) Governor Ehrlich and monkeywrenched the primary process.

LOL! Jim, Don't wait up for the answer!

The Republican Party, although certainly far from prefection, is the only tool box that has the ability to unscrew the democrats from their positions of power.

Once we have enough of them unscrewed we can get our agenda of smaller and leaner government through without having to compromise on the substance.

Once we have a solid majority we can do a better job of cleaning our own house as well. We will not need to re-elect marginal people just because they call themselves an "R".

I'm all ears. Please lay it on us.

That is the problem with both conservatives and Republicans, we don't have a plan of action. We have no one as our leader. We're not sure as group what we should do. We need a leader. The Communists make a plan for decades away and with patience they finally arrive at their goal. We have nothing but crises management. We are fighting against maybe %5 to %10 of the people in this country and we are losing. "You say you have a real solution, yeah yeah you know, we'd all love to see your plan."
