If you mean what you say in this post, and you stand by your FR mission statement then I'm behind you.
But you've gone wobbly on me more often than not.

How does this not encourage greater unaccountability? We were talking about spine. Leave it to a Libertarian to change the subject from a 100 foot high, white alabaster pedestal.

I totally concurr.
Have you read any of Oliver North's books? I think he agrees too. He said on Hannity that he tells the historic story in a fictionalized form because he can't use the real names, but you can tell who they are for the most part. I just finished Mission Compromised and have been looking for someone with whom to discuss the book and the related facts, but am having no luck.

From what I can see, libertarians like Badjoe think politics is just a game, and many of them end up aiding the other side even if that wasn't originally their intent.
It is not a game-- it's deadly serious, as you realize. Perhaps more serious now than at any time in our history. So, keep up the good work!

BTW, who's the Libertarian?

Well said Mr. Robinson!!!!! I have been so happy to find a group of people willing to stand up for our Country and not what they want for our Country to become.
To: Alamo-Girl
Remember the Alamo!I'm hoping it's democrats inside, and the Republicans are Santa Ana's army ready to wipe them out... anyone got a trumpet?

With the passage of time, as the worlds days grow ever more dark, we conservatives monarchist, republican, and authoritarian must join forces and stand against the forces of atheism, libertinism, and those who seek to destroy everything we hold dear. Hear, hear!
We monarchists and our authoritarian friends "across the aisle" don't get much say in this liberal society.

FWIW I think you are right. I would love to have the only conservatives, but even a moderate to liberal Pubbie is better than giving a seat to a Dim.

You are ASSUMING that Dems don't eat their own...Have you been watching the reaction to Dean? They are in turmoil and that is good, but they DO eat their own.
What I said was we need to slowly turn the voters more toward conservatism rather than expect a leadership change alone to make all the difference, it won't!
I think at least 90% of the press ARE THE DEMOCRATS. So don't expect fairness until we get a truck load of conservatives looking to go into the news media business.
No matter what we need to get rid of the Dems, I agree.

False distinction. Greater unaccountability = less spine.

Yes, Bush could use he Reagan strategy, except for the fact that THE MEDIA CAUGHT ON TO WHAT REAGAN DID!
Because some of his advisors wrote books about how a picture trumped reporters' words, and because he was so successful at going over their heads, the democrats and the reporters caught on!
Bush cannot do what Reagan did. Did you miss the speech where the media refused to cover it? Do you not know that the networks, not the White House, determine coverage?
Bush has had to fly a damn plane onto an aircraft carrier to get some coverage! Apparently you think that a president can now wave his magic wand and get air time. Not in these times, OWK.
