Check any thread on which moderation is discussed (including this one), and you'll find numerous posts from people expressing bewilderment as to why a particular post (or poster) might have been pulled. Sometimes the reason is not entirely clear, and other times people will presume it's because, for example, they were disagreeing with the "party line" -- unless they're informed that it was actually because they called someone a m*****f*****. And so on.

You know, of all the posts I've had yanked, I'm still wondering who pulled my 'Christianne Amanpour's head would look lovely in a jar of formadehyde' post.

I just can't imagine who'd find fault in that.
