Had a TRULY odd weekend.
(I got conned into helping out with a baby shower!)
Other than that, had a drawing stuck in my skull.

I wrote this one going to work at 4"00 AM :) (true story)

It's still and dark
and the Coke I bought
to jumpstart my heart
is resting
between my knees
the shortcut
thru the riverbottom
is foggy, scary
my old Suburban
better not
have a breakdown

I slow on a curve
and hit the brakes
a big gray wolf
crosses the mud
in front of me
and stops

he looks back
over his shoulder
and in my headlamps
misty gleam
I see her

oh she is
sleek and slim
his mate
he waits for her
to cross
with him
and I don't even think
I just sit there
and wonder
did I see what I think I saw?

All day at work
I just do my job
and I never complain
ever again
that 4 in the morning
is too early
to go to work
