Thankyou Miss Amy! Miss Sandi and I are from Texas, and I just want her to know that no matter what, Texans will stick together.

I'm in.
Had a TRULY odd weekend.
(I got conned into helping out with a baby shower!)
Other than that, had a drawing stuck in my skull.

Cornucopia
by Ginger Strivelli

Mother Nature's cornucopia spills forth more
Than we could ever wish for,
She provides us with a bountiful harvest every autumntide,
For She has too much sacred fertility to hide,
She sends us food to eat, water to drink and all the things we need,
She even sends our children into our wombs, in deed!
Her sacred fertility is a miracle above all others,
Her ablity to give life, should be worshipped, like all mothers'!
Her cornucopia is full to overflowing,
and Her love for us, Her children, is beyond knowing.
Our Blessed Mother, with her cornucopia in hand,
pours out Her sacred fertility to us, the animals, and the land.

It's about time you showed up!
Hope you enjoyed the baby shower. That is a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

For women.
For men, it's absolute torture.
*chuckle*
On top of it all, there was a wedding going on next door, and the bridesmaids were getting ready in the downstairs rooms in the building I was in.
I was sitting in the stairwell sketching away when a door not three foot from me pops open and a head pokes out.
Startled the snot out of me, scared the crud outta the poor woman.
She skitters back into the room, and twitters about the 'guy on the stairs'.
*snort*
That was a riot.
Officially, I am now terrifying to women, children, small animals, and excited bridesmaids.

I wrote this one going to work at 4"00 AM :) (true story)

It's still and dark
and the Coke I bought
to jumpstart my heart
is resting
between my knees
the shortcut
thru the riverbottom
is foggy, scary
my old Suburban
better not
have a breakdown

I slow on a curve
and hit the brakes
a big gray wolf
crosses the mud
in front of me
and stops

he looks back
over his shoulder
and in my headlamps
misty gleam
I see her

oh she is
sleek and slim
his mate
he waits for her
to cross
with him
and I don't even think
I just sit there
and wonder
did I see what I think I saw?

All day at work
I just do my job
and I never complain
ever again
that 4 in the morning
is too early
to go to work

I was almost correctly identified as a 'goth' by on eo fteh bridesmaids..
*chuckle*
I wasn't even dressed goth, I had on a green longsleeve, turtleneck, black jeans, and boots.
I guess it's the hair, shoulder length hair with my glasses kinda gives it away I guess.

Thankyou! I dreamed of seeing, when I was a kid, a red fox in the wild, and then one summer when I was in the midwest, I saw them everywhere! Where do you live?
