I never meant to hurt you
(But his sad eyes called my soul)
I needed him
(I loved you, too)
(How can that be, you asked?)
To love two men?
But it was his sad eyes
that needed me
yours always so clear and direct
(His eyes mesmerized me
held me tight to his breaking heart
of loneness, a searching soul)
I am caught by his magic
of tender touch, the deep voice
that caresses my soul)
Oh God I love him...
We have our vow, he and I,
(you would not commit to vows)
I was never your doll, I am woman
I yearn for the warmth of his arms
his eyes, his voice...
Oh how I love him...
No mountain will stop me
ever from loving him...ever
If my spark lives in your mind
(his is in mine)
and I live in his...
aching for him daily
wanting to be near his countenance
glowing on me
to warm my bones
my bones, (me bones)
You, never needed me like that
(I work the same magic on him)
We love, forever, we love
This is not good bye, but once
I loved you, but there was no fever
in my soul for you.
(I'm sorry, you need a lower fire)
I don't want ashes
I want the blazing fires of comets
and stars and moonlight beaming
in my eyes, and in his arms...forever his friend
