Interesting. Tell me more of what your Grandpa made and how he came to the trade?

Well, not sure where the art comes in on his side of the family.
But I do know that he was almost completely colorblind, deaf as a post, and built like a tank.
He was doing a wood carving for a customer, they'd ordered a totem pole, he had a friend bring a telephone pole.
Without any help, he carried it into the yard himself.
He did silkscreening, and oilpaints.
Not sure if any of his work is viewable anywhere, the last place I knew some of his work sat was at a church in Bradner.
(I have been told that they were moved to storage.)
I have some of his work, from 1932 when he was young, and some stuff from a few years before he died.
He pretty much started the business on his own.
Never did hear how.
