Great thread...

I just opened a licensed sports aparell/novelty shop. Lots of cash transactions.

What's a good "concealed carry" handgun, we wear khaki's and polo type shirts. I leave the mall with substantial cash.

I think that I can get permitted here in Missouri...any ideas?

On those rare occasions that I carry, I use an S&W Model 60 Chief's Special. Compact, powerful, and simple to use. Just pull the trigger. No worries about whether there's a round in the chamber or if the safety is on. True, it's not considered to be "what's hot" these days, but no one questions the power of a .357 Magnum, or the reliability of one of these Smiths. With "Laser Grips" the gun is very accurate, too.

The simplicity and inherent safety of a revolver can be a lifesaver.

You can carry a cannon with the right clothes.

My son and I both carry Springfield Armory V-10 .45 Autos. He carries the Compact and I carry the Ultra-Compact.

We both use Galco Royal Guard IWB holsters with a Wilderness Instructor's belt. It's important to feed the straps on the holster through the belt loop on the seam.

A next size bigger shirt outside the pants with a square bottom or T-Shirt finishes the rig.

To help balance the load, carry an extra magazine on the opposite side.

Last word of advice. The spare mag can be standard no matter what the capacity is on the gun.

OK, when I am carrying concealed i carry one of the following, depending on my mood & what i am wearing:

Walther PP .32 in my pocket, a fly holster or in an ankle holster in my boot

Colt Detective Special .38 Special in a larger pocket or my boot

Walther PP Super 9x18 or Sig p239 9X19 if I am wearing a jacket in a belt or shoulder holster

On rare occasions I will also carry my Walther P1 or my HK USP but those are too big to hide eaasily

"What's a good "concealed carry" handgun, we wear khaki's and polo type shirts."

If you have a little spare change rattling around, you could do a lot worse than the H+K P7.

Pricy, and only a 9mm, but is a super carry gun.  Just need to add tritium sights to the stock model, and you're good to go.
