Hi David. Yes, so far I'm safe. But the fire is just across the lake from us and it DOUBLED today. Even the street my own family doctor lives on was put on Evacuation alert!! They announced that they simply cannot contain it as yet. The winds are whats doing it. But late this afternoon the wind reversed itself again!! So bizarre. There are a ton of pictures on my homepage. www.Castanet.net. If you go there you will see the Fire Update there. It takes up the whole page and a couple of the paragraphs are in red. This is NOt good. Our side of the Lake has plenty of trees too. They just aren't on fire.
