The Dems exerted pressure to make sure that only one Dem was running. John Garimendi, the insurance commissioner, had announced he was going to run, and two days later he retreated. The word is he was pressured by the party bosses to drop out. The Pubbies in this state are fractured, and in disarray. Hence, more than one Pubbie running, splitting the vote. No, no primary. That's why I say that if it looks like Cruz is going to win, I'll vote against the recall. Still over a month left, so I'm keeping my powder dry. I'd probably better stay off those Arnold vs. McClintock threads, though. I can't the flaming going on. It's so juvenile, and counterproductive.
