still the whole area should be carpeted so it all harmonizes and doesn't look patchy...I wouldn't mind all that really but I dread moving ALL THAT FURNITURE....

I hear ya about moving the furniture .. When we had to move the kids furniture & junk to have the new rugs put in .. we ran out of places to store it all ..

Maybe pick a rug that will match well with the old rug. and that way you won't have to do all that extra work.

that is my idea but the old hubs wants to do the whole shebang...at first it was just match up the carpets but now...and it will look first class which is the truth so...if I can just catch the breath between rooms...
