Speaking of proposing...my oldest sister left me a voice mail this morning, telling me to call her as soon as I could. Yikes! My first thought was that something terrible had happened, like my mother ill, something like that. Well, her long-time boyfriend (can you call him that when you're both over 50?) asked her to marry him! It's very good news. He's a great guy, and she has been divorced for 16 years now.

My older sister did something like that to me years ago when I came back from a vacation. She picked me up at the airport and had me sit down to tell me she was pregnant with her first child. She scared the daylights out of me at first.
