I've been lurking on the Arnold threads; I was going to do some posting, but things turned ugly. Very ugly. It's the "Arnold is a Republican and he can WIN!" against the "Arnold is a RINO and I'm voting for McClintock!" people, with those who are arnold supporters accusing the McClintock supporters of actually being Bustamonte supporters. There are the true partisans who really attack the principled conservatives for wanting to lose for their principles, and that this is all about WINNING. I ask, winning what? It's too vicious for me.
I understand about having a bad day. I often think we've slid too far down the slope of socialism to crawl back up to liberty. Too many people are getting too many government goodies, and will vote for the politicians who will hand out largess from the treasury. Liberty is frightening to them. Taking responsibility for their own lives is too much to ask of them, apparently.
*sigh*
Other than that, things are great!

After all, if Californians are gonna get screwed, it might as well be done right.

The problem with this recall is that there is no primary to fight this out before the main election to see who will be the GOP canidate.
IMO .. Arnold is not a "true" conservative but can pull CA out of their finacial problems .. McClintock is a "true" conservative and can also do a good job in pulling CA out of their problem ..
Without a primary .. the voters in CA just need to figure out exactly who are they going to back because if they continue to be split .. Bustamonte will get elected.
The flame wars are sensless and don't help matters.
