Hey Horsie .. My neighbor's family is from Peru .. His parents were living here in the US for a bit because things were pretty bad over there but they just moved back. I heard now it's really bad ... don't know why they moved back

Things are always bad in Peru...it's just that sometimes they get worse. Right now there are lots of problems...even though the economy is cooking along at about 4% growth this year. The poverty seems like an unsolveable problem and the government's solution is to raise taxes on foreign companies. I think they must be following the Gray Davis economic success model.

But the food is good, and the people are great. I was up in the high country for a few days and it is spectacular.
