No rain in the forecast Libby. This is really something. When you live in a Valley and the hillside(s) is on fire about all you can do is Jump in the Lake. Our side of the Valley is not on fire. But the hillsides and the trees are just as dry on my side.

Thanks Nully, this is a very unique situation. I'm not sure that it has ever happened like this here before. The conditions are just brutal.

Lynn, it would be a good thing if you got some of those pinecones that are treated with copper sulphate to burn bright blue-Green. Then if you go up in flames we will be able to spot you by the pretty colored flare.

If you do, will you haunt us?

Gee thanks!! I think I'll just jump in the lake instead!! btw did you see the picture of our area from some space camera??? Come to think of it, I DO have a lot of pinecones that better get raked up and done away with this weekend. Tell you one thing, I have NEVER been in anything like this before. NOW a major power grid just went. It's still on the other side from me but I am starting to feel fear!!

Yeah gran, the breathing part is getting very irritating. I have a sore throat already. Of course the winds are whipping up again now. And they have expanded the evacuation alert area!! There is ash floating through the air EVERYWHERE.

My sister and BIL have taken some fabulous video. They live down by the lake on the opposite side. But standing on their roof you could see the trees exploding like Roman Candles. They are DRY and full of pitch. They absolutely do explode!! Speaking of my sister, we just about to head there for dinner. This is going to be ANOTHER Action Packed Night.!!
