I looked at some of my pictures online at the business center in the apartment complex, and they look too dark! Do they look dark to you all? I have my monitor set to match printouts, but it doesn't seem to be right for web viewing....

Your pics look fine to me Val.. I save mine for the web... I don't know if it makes a difference, but I read once on Pbase that a really good photographer saved his that way, and I've always done it since..

I think the monitor you were using was not set up right..;)

There are also web safe colors to use.. I use them sometimes, but I'm just a novice.. what the hell do I care in the long run?

I'm sitting the the bidness center at the hotel using a free computer and free access. Much cheaper than home, especially after the dear sweet wifey wandered off whilst being logged on and 26-hours later we were still logged on. Can't wait to see the phone bill this month!!

I can't remember where the command is that lets you time the durn thing out after a certain time of non-use...(glad that doesn't apply to the brain).

Rush hour traffic in downtown Lima...what a trip. If anyone wants to see how anarchy works, I recommend a trip to Lima. Anarchy on the streets...where no one pays a wit to stop signs, traffic lights, sidewalks or, last on the food chain, pedestrians. People don't respect traffic lanes, they straddle the white lines so in case one of the two lanes might just be a little quicker, they can scoot ahead by one car. A nanosecond is defined as the length of time it takes a Peruvian to honk his horn after a traffic light changes from red to green. It doesn't matter if you 15-cars back from the intersection, as soon as the light changes...start honking.

It always amazes me that there aren't more fist fights, but road rage seems to be restricted to gringos. Some jerk will cut you off, honk is horn at you, wave some obscene jesture, and when you pull up side by side at an intersection everyone looks straight ahead. In LA, there would be a firefight involving lots of automatic weaponry if this happened.
