I haven't had to wear glasses all the time until just a couple years ago, and went straight to bifocals. In shopping around, I found that the "while you wait" places cost a lot more than the shops that have them made off site. No matter what they advertised, it always seemed there were conditions to those deals that made them not so good, and those $99.00 specials seemed like flimsy junk. I went to my regular pharmacy and ordered a pair in some nice finished titanium alloy frames (OSHA safety certified) with regular bifocals for about $170. In two years I have not had to even tighten a screw on them. For sunglasses I got a Foster Grant clip on in a matching style for about 12 bucks.
