I'm not really sure what I'd like to do with any birds. I'm afraid my dog would go crazy with excitement, and drive everyone nuts.

I imagine they are unenforceable, because the people here are about half renters. But they could complain to the city if I'm a nuisance...then the city ordinance would kick in that you can't be a nuisance. You can have as many dogs, cats, chickens, anything...as long as no one complains.
But I'm a good neighbor...I wouldn't want to cause a nuisance, anyway. So I'll never have a rooster that makes it old enough to crow.
But we yearn to have our land...away from anyone we might annoy. The day I awake to my own rooster crowing will be a glorious day to me.
