Well, I think KS is a nice place, not sure how it compares, though, to what you are leaving. My impression of the MidWest is favorable, however.

I feel like I ought to get a gun, though. When I turn on the local news, it's all about who got robbed, what buildings got burnt (3 or 4 arsons since I've been here), and how many fatal wrecks happened during the night.
