I liked Gladiator!

I thought there needed to be more to it. Without all the incestuous intrigue - but then there would have been no story without that - so, that's why I said "I just dunno." It wasn't all there. But, too much of stuff I didn't want to see was there.

The jury is still out for me on Gladiator...Crowe, I thought played an excellent Roman, but he had so little to say and the film itself was so epic in spectacle that when I thought about it, it seemed like it had less substance than I expected. Kind of like Titanic...the scenery and staging was so broad in scale and so much was SHOWN that the actual dialogue and script was sparse. I got more satisfaction watching Crowe in "Proof of Life"...even if I couldn't stand Ryan's whining. She needs to stick to comedy. Crowe, however, was wonderful.

LOL...I like that "whos that upstaging our Billy"...youre after my heart there!
