The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…

Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

The Road Goes Ever On…

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Welcome back!

Sorry about the nightmare.... I would recommend a good film or good music to clear your head!

And NOT "The Ring", right? ;)

It's been a long time since I've had one like that. Fortunately. It was pretty horrid.

Hmm...maybe I should save it for NaNoWriMo? I could use the basic plot without so much scary stuff. Maybe.

Well, write a bit of it down then, if you want to remember it!

I don't think I could completely forget it. *shudder*

I also don't know that it would work. Think something along the lines of the curse in Pirates, but set in a sort of mild mannered New England town, and with a lot of twists involved. Pirates meets Spitfire Grill meets X Files.

Maybe it won't work.

I saw your pictures of the horses in the fog the other day, BTW - very nice!

Yes, bugs all over the place. Of course, Mac users don't have to worry about bugs!!

I've missed commenting about half the things I mean to comment about 'cause I've been running around so much.

Have you ever read any H.P. Lovecraft?

Nope. Not that I know of, in any case...the name doesn't ring a bell. Why?

He was a well-known horror author, who wrote primarily in the 20s and 30s. He lived in New England and liked to write about awful horrors taking place in mild-mannered New England towns.

He created Cthulhu and Nyarlathotep and a whole slew of other stuff... find out more here.
