yeah... there's lotsuh deer here...
Carl walked in late on Saturday mornin', right thru a thicket by where I wuz huntin... heard a sound like a freight train as all the deer come boilin out the other side... at least a dozen does, even more fawns, and two small bucks nearly ran over me...
oh... and I meant misses with a thunderstick... I've missed at least half a dozen with muh bow/crossbow...
still, one arrow, one cartidge, two shots with a muzzleloader ain't bad fer three deer in a season...
doe season opens on the 13th, and runs till the 23rd... late bow season is any-sex and turkey and runs tuhday thru Jan 16th... so I may be nockin' another arrow er two... just gotta find more freezer space...

Yeah, I never take a shot unless I am confident it will be a killing shot. Lots of guys just go out there and start firing away, soon as they see one they want. One guy I know in particular is like that, a good deer hunter in every respect except that one.

Flylady made a great point today...she says now that you have your house de-cluttered and cleaned up, never let your house get more the 15 minutes worth of messy! And I'm pretty well at that point right now...my house is lived in, yes...and tidy enough for someone to drop by...but within 15 minutes I could be ready for a special occassion!
I have 30 minutes till school starts. The clothes are washing. (Did you know that I never go a day without washing ALL our clothes? No towels hanging in the bathroom, no used washclothes...)
It's gonna be a busy day...Pack meeting tonight and Matthew has some things he needs to get done to earn a bead.
