Speaking of slacking...you got a plot yet? That's dang near a week and a half away...I don't need no steenking plot!
To: ecurbh
So, what's this I was reading during class about you maybe leaving earlier than planned? Finishing up your work earlier than expected or just taking off?

Well today is my last day at work. If I can get the car loaded and the futon delivered early enough in the day, I am hoping to get started tomorrow afternoon and make it at least to Fargo, maybe to Bismarck.

you gotta map? survival kit?... firearm?... Yup. Nope. Nope.
You do realize you just announced to the Nazgul that an unarmed Hobbit is venturing out his front door...

Whew!! The pressure's off! The pressure's off ecurbh...
To: ecurbh
So, I thought you had to work all the way through until Thursday or something. To get accumulated vacation pay.
It's a shame we don't have Hobbit Hole Dwellers along your path for you to stop and sack out with on your journey. Would be a big help to you for sure!

You know, people will pay handsomely for freshly-laid eggs.
Back during the Depression, my mother taught school out in Alpine, Texas. (For those who don't know, Alpine is out West Texas way, in the high country just east of El Paso.) Mamma taught nine students in a one-room schoolhouse that served as the church on Sunday, and she rented a room from Miz Marzet (Mrs. Morrissette, if you compensate for that West Texas drawl), a well-known and respected local cook. Miz Marzet had chickens that lay huge brown eggs. Supposedly, such fresh "country" eggs would help a sick person heal, and people would pay 5 cents a piece for them, even back then --- and back then, 5 cents would buy enough crackers and bologna for a working man's lunch.
You know, 2J, the eggs of free-range chickens might go over very nicely in some chi-chi restaurant up there ... you should inquire ...!

No, I just had to give two weeks notice to get that. I did find out today that I won't get any profit sharing at the end of the year, in spite of the fact that I gave them 8 months of my life. Sticklebats.

And Alpine is one of the best spots in Texas.... right after Ft. Davis! 'Course, just down the road from one another it's kinda natural they'd be sorta the same.
I have checked out the Sul Ross website several times.... just in case they need an experienced CADD intructor. If I went out there ya think you and Bear might make it out to moot? In the mountains?
Had a great aunt and uncle taught school in Wink. Not the same scenery but close geographically. Well, comparatively, for Texas.
