Steve is obsessive about it...like a hobby. He found a 20' metal ladder once! He is constantly scanning the road. I don't "scan" while driving, but I find stuff anyhow. My biggest score would have been a whole toolbox that fell off a pickup truck ahead of me. It was in the middle of the road, so I pulled into a parking lot, and was prepared to run out into the road to get it. But just then, a semi screeched to a halt, and almost jackknifed.
The driver got out, leaving his rig spread across three lanes, and picked up the toolbox. I figured I wasn't going to fight him for the toolbox, since he already showed he was a complete idiot, and had no regard for anyone's safety, by the way he handled his rig.

Steve has witnessed people actually loosing items, tools and such...he tries to get them back.
One tool was in the parking lot of a lube place, had a guy's last name on it. He took it to the lube place and they found the guy's name in their records and contacted the owner of the tool. Pretty neat, huh?

Joshua went to the bathroom to poop...I hear him hollering at me and I run in and he's sittin' there screaming there is a
BOT FLY bothering him!
I told him no...just a plain housefly and killed it.
I keep trying to tell them we don't have Bot flies in this part of the country!
