The Hobbit Hole IV – The Road Goes Ever On…
Posted on 08/04/2003 9:43:18 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
The Road Goes Ever On
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

I don't think he was a calligrapher (he had hard enough time keeping his hair combed)- a student likely volunteered to paint it for him.

LF, how are the dogs? Jack is wobbly, but starting to get back to normal. He lost 7 pounds.
Sadie is irritated that Jack is back (she sooooo loved having a monopoly on her people's attention) and is definately sick. Her intestines are loose, but she hasn't lost control. Big'ol said there were several dogs with similar symptoms at the emergency clinic, so maybe there is something going around. We have a call in to our regular vet and will make a decision on her later this morning.
Big'ol is getting better- which is good because he has an 8-hour flight today. *sigh*

Jack is wobbly, but starting to get back to normal. He lost 7 pounds. Good to hear he's doing better. 7 pounds...wow. Hope he had it to lose! My dog couldn't lose 7 pounds...she only weighs about 10, tops. Little munchkin.
Here's hoping Sadie only gets a mild case!
To: Wneighbor
Yes, as far as I can tell you right now. I will plan for it, but my husbands work sometimes calls him away at the worst of times, disregarding all fishing plans. We can still fish, but it won't be as good a trip. (My son and I manage to fish when he's away, but rarely catch anything good. Between the both of us we can get the boat out and go, but we don't know the secret sweetspots of success. :) We will still have fun, though, trying.) We may just have to settle for shrimp for dinner and playing LOTR Risk (which I am having trouble getting anyone to do, anymore) It'll be fun!
