Oh my word, I forgot to post the family recipe for pickled eggs.

Just boil up a dozen eggs, peel and place in a quart jar. Bring to simmer 1 and one half cups vinegar and the same amount of water. Add 1 T pickling spice, 1 clove minced garlic, 1 bay leaf and several drops of Tabasco sauce. Oh, be brave, and add some more. Simmer ten minutes. Strain and pour over eggs in the jar. Do add a metal spoon while doing so as to not break the jar.

For Christmas, I add red food coloring for tradition.

The eggs will keep for about two weeks on the counter. But, do not think you will sue me if this is not so. LOL

Thanks so much. I'll give it a try, and report back.

Oh, wait. What kind of vinegar? White vinegar? Cider vinegar? Or does it even matter?

I have eggs pickling to your recipe on the counter.

If I die, it's your fault...

(but I won't sue you, and my ex will be delighted with the insurance payoff, she might be able to avoid spending it all before the eldest starts college)
