A Chinchilla, now that's a new one.. How about a Ferret, are they legal in your area? They can be cute, if you can get used to their odor.. ;)

A Million Bells for Mom, wherever she is..

When I was little, a friend of my mom's had a ferret.
I don't recall it having an odor. It's name was Felicia.
She would have me run back & forth in the house playing
with her (playing tag, kinda). Then I'd lay on the floor
& she'd run across me or get in my ear to make me get
back up. She was the cutest thing. I wanted one, but most
of the ones I've seen were rather mean & bit. I settled
on the chinchilla after holding one belonging to a friend.
I just hung around & made itself comfortable by curling
into a ball. Darks calls them "mutant squirrels".
