A very Freudian post.

Concerning lighthouses, the Great Lakes has a huge variety of them that still exist. No fantasy here, just beautiful structures adorning crystal waters. We have several that we have the good fortune to see every year near our summer place.

Lake Michigan is one of the seven wonders....forget Pharos.

But Pharos' lighthouse no longer exists.
I happen to like reading about the beauty that was.
I'm trying to find a good time for my dad to take me
to the Met so I can see more ancient beauty. I'm sure
the things you see are lovely too, but history & pieces
from the past have always captured my imagination.
