Exactly - you said it so well. The younger generation throw in the towel after a couple of bumps. That's why there is a generation of very confused children growing up.

Oh my goodness, have we had our lumps. Hell, we are still having our lumps.
Four kids, twelve grandkids, and each other, now that's lumps. Kids and grands do affect your way of living and spending, and you don't always agree with each other on a lot of it.
We made one big rule when we got married tho, and that was when it came to the kids, discipline especially.... WE always stuck together. It was always us against the kids. If you let the kids split you apart, you've had it.
Of course our kids are all flakes, so don't go by what we did.. lol. Not really, but I tell them that anyway..;)

Then there's those of us whose knees were knocking, while poping beats of sweat, when we promised and pledged before God and everyone in the congregation "'till death do we part."
And actually meant it.
