You'd need to understand the sweetheart has done everything right. We used to be brought nearly to tears (her mom and me) as she would come home every day from elementary school with fresh new horror stories about how the kids picked on her and gave her fresh new embarrasments and punishments, enought to last a lifetime.

Oh wow .. I'm sorry to hear that. Kids can be so cruel.

Last night she curled up in her sweetest pose on my arm and asked if she and I could have a 'Daddy Daughter Date' since she would have me all to herself all week ..... How could I say no? Reservations are at 6:00 pm at P.F. Chang's Chinese Bistro.

Well, in forum I am more talkative and 'gallant' than I am in person.
In person, I find a corner, call dibs, and sit there studying the room and everyoen in it in quiet contemplation.
When I do move, it's to head to the bathroom or grab tea or coffee.
Conversation consists of me muttering a few things unintelligably and trying to figure people out.
It is amusing to watch me do that I hear.

Exactly - you said it so well. The younger generation throw in the towel after a couple of bumps. That's why there is a generation of very confused children growing up.

The fires are just raging Jude. It's scary. They are both North and South of us. If you look at a map of B.C. and find Kelowna were in the middle of them. It looks absolutely weird outside. Kind of hazy but HOT. There is also some wind. (BAD). Fire creates its own wind it doesn't need any help.!! It kills me to think of people having to leave their horses etc. I know all the local SPCA'a are frantically attempting to round up peoples pets and foster them. Our Shelter in Kelowna which is a very large shelter has lots of them. Plus we have many foster acreages that help in these situations. If the fire hits here tho it will be drastic. We are a valley surrounded by wooded hills. I'll just go jump in the lake I guess.(with my catbabies)!!
