Westy, my search engines are turning up nothing but books I can buy of the Bloody Bomber 100th. I guess after more than sixty years, it is not at the top of the search engines lists.
But, I care and I want to know of them. Can not you tell me in your own words of them, please?

Oh, you just get on my last nerve, Westy. LOL
The only thing I found on the search engines was about their reunions. Nothing of what they did in WWII.
Well, I do volunteer at the Veterans Home. I am going to ask around and see if I can find out more information.

To: celtic gal
Well, can you tell me who is it that has the sick cats? I have a question to ask her of my cat.
To: Conservababe
Well, I have cats but they aren't sick. One is hyperthyroid and the other a cancer survivor but they are doing well.
What is wrong with your kitty?

Ozzy?
Singing "Take me out to the ballgame"?
I'm almost afraid to ask, but was it at least worth hearing for the pure oddness of it?

Well, I have a seven year old male cat named Conservative Cat (CC) He is spoiled rotten. Four years ago he collapsed with this rare neurological disease. He couldn't walk or eat or see. Two vets could not diagnose him, but finally the third one did. And she got in touch with vet schools all over the country and learned how to treat him. I had to force feed him medicines and food and keep him in a padded area so that he could not hurt himself for weeks. He pulled through very well, except for a slight leaning of his head. One of the schools doing a study of this disease wanted to follow up and did so for free. As you can see, I really admire and trust this vet.
So, this year I do something stupid. I bought the cheap Sargents brand of absorbative flea killer instead of going to the vet for the Frontine or Advantage. Well, now he has fleas and the vet says she cannot do a thing about it until that medication is gone from the bloodstream, which will be a couple of weeks more. Do you think I should trust this vet's opinion or take him somewhere else.

Thanks Loddy and Mo. Those show what's going on here!! Last night they extended the number of homes that had to be evacuated. Some of them that were on evacuation alert changed to "Get the Hell out"!! It's the darn wind, it keeps whipping up and then suddenly changes directions?? Bizarro.

I know, I saw Wesley Clark also and had to change the channel. He's a demoncrap pure and simple. I can no longer stand to listen to his claptrap!!

I take it you mean the Seargents flea stuff is out of his system. If that is what you refer to, I would tend to agree with the vet since that stuff in Frontline and Advantage is a medication. The risk would be overdose of the stuff. Ou could call around but if this is the vet you trust, having helped kitty out of a real crisis, I would stick with him/her. In the meantime, I would try to comb kitty to get as many fleas off as I could..keep kitty out of the bedrooms and other places where fleas could be a problem.
Also, at the vet the may have some safe stuff to treat the bedding etc..I got some stuff from my vet when I found a flea on my kitty, and the can of spray stuff is safe but expensive..I'll have to see if I still have some of that spray and will let you know what it is.
I thin the best bet is to wait it out with the flea juice. I put Advantage on my two and I had the allergic reaction for about a week or two..I am going back to Frontline. The vet said Advantage is good if the kitty doesn't go outside but if they do, Frontline is better because it gets ticks too. My little lovlies are indoor only..but I still will take frontline over itchy eyes and sneezing on my part. good luck with the fleas and let me know how it goes.
To: celtic gal
Thanks for the information. Frontline is what we usually used but I tried to get by cheaper this summer. Live and learn, I guess.
Oh, the vet had told me earlier to try to bathe CC. Ha! He has never been bathed and I didn't want to end up in the ER. I did a google search to find a method for bathing cats and ended up laughing so hard.
One method says to place shampoo in the clean toilet bowl and throw the cat in and close the lid. Then flush. The agitation will shampoo nicely. For the rinse, flush again. Open the lid and stand back. The cat will air dry.
