You are getting very good, Grannie.
I wouldn't recommend Pirates of the Carribean (the movie) since it completely maximizes the gore and completely minimizes what pirates are and what the British did, but your scene would have fit well in the romantic side of the movie.
(Make sense?)

Thanks...
It's called Poodle rock and it is located in Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada. The bright star is Mars.

Who would have thought that Frank Sinatra (and the rat pack for that matter) was as good as American Entertainment was ever going to get?

Whatever happen to that saying that kids should be seen and not heard?? Think about it. That went out when spankings went out. The two are necessarily connected.

The bright star is Mars. They were talking last night on the News about being able to see Mars .. I was too lazy to go out and look for it. Plus it was way to humid out there

Well, I don't want to beat them .. I just want to them to shut up for 10 minutes ..*L*
Yesterday, I turned off the AC just to get them outside to play. It's worked but then I was hot and miserable while trying to paint the basement.

The hard part was getting the shadows half-way right.. Lots of twisting and turning after I got the boat upside down.. It's not too bad, I don't think.. I did them both separately, so they are not exact.
I really have way to much fun, and it's better than a brush or roller..
I do use brushes on them, just not the kind Mo uses.. ;)

I think I saw Mars this morning when I got up.. It was very bright and riding just to the lower right of the moon. It was beautiful. I was going to set up the camera for a shot, but it was too close to going behind the trees...
Of course we haven't seen the night sky for weeks, so it was an extra splendid sight to behold..

In Increments... I hope so. Takes real concentration for a kid to watch an 'old fashioned' movie. I've wanted to coax my 20 year old daughter through Dr Zhivago. She is a 'Pirates of the Carribean' type of person. Going to see it again for the 6th time tonight. Pirates has no plot to follow. Just a Girl to watch and gobs of violent scenes.
Not to minimize Gone With the Wind, arguably the best movie ever made. Just bracing against the inevitable inability to connect the dots. Kids who can't work can't relate to people who do.

The local news is calling for a heat wave coming .. I hope that means the rain will stop for a while
Well I need to head to the store to get school supplies for the kiddies ... BBL

Painting -- I've done the basement, now I have a fence to do. Looks like rain for us this weekend, hope it doesn't wash off the paint.
Mars -- A couple of days ago I found a cute montage of how the size of the planet has changed in appearance as it has come closer, probably 3X brighter since it looks so much bigger. Can't find it now however.

I've never seen Gone With the Wind, no point, as I was raised in the south...

Oh geeeeeeeeeee... that isn't all the movie is about... The interaction of the players is the best part..
