Yeah, he's good looking alright.
He was voted 'Suave Senior' by his classmates, and was called 'the untouchable angel' by the girls because he didn't date (church, sports and academics were his priority).
I think he just might LIKE a cruise about now!

Even at 49.5 years of age, I'd be there in a heartbeat. But if my babies, daughter 23.5 YO and son 22 YO, were there, I'd have to be sedated. It takes overwhelming courage to be a service parent.

Well, I know his DAD would rather be there than have his son in danger.........and he's older than you are!
Your use of the word 'babies' says it all. That's what they always will be to us, isn't it?
(Hmmmm....sedated.....not a bad idea. I could SLEEP until he comes home!)

It's obvious you've been a wonderful mother. You've raised such a fine son, and may God send His angels to protect Eric and bring him home safely.
What's bittersweet for you is also probably remembering Eric's first toddler steps toward you with a beaming look in his eyes. My, how they grow up fast. But's he grown into an excellent young man, and a son to be so proud of.

Had lunch with the babies yesterday. We were discussing my daughter's wedding which is in September. I told her I'd have to take something to walk her down the isle without slipping in my own tears. I then said no matter what don't let anyone sing "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", my eyes welled up like someone through a glass of water in my face. Yes they will always be our babies and when we can't protect them it tears at the heart.

Oh, yes.....and Eric was such a sweet little boy, always laughing, never wanting us to be displeased with him....
Thank you for your kind post.

I alway try to remember that it's not just spouses and children or parents who are back home waiting for thier loved one who is so far away from home and in danger. I remember the brothers and sisters who pray for them as well.
I was on the Finest thread a few moments abo. It is a beautiful tribute to Whoever. It was written by RU4Liberty. Can you ping some of the others over to it?
I don't know if you knew "who" but I thought you might like to read the trubute by RU4Liberty and p[osted by Billie.

Oh, my! You sound just like my husband!
We were just discussing the other day, that he will probably have to be tranquilized when our daughters get married (or our sons, for that matter), or he will make everyone in the church completely fall apart!
He's a very strong, tough marshmallow, and I love him for it! :o)

Thank you for sharing Eric. Daily prayers for his safe return to his Mommy's loving arms.

I plan to get over there later, Pippin.
whoever was one of the first people to make me feel at home on FR, and I feel badly that I didn't even know she was ill.
She is at peace and without pain in the arms of her Savior now. Praise the Lord!

Hey OWF,
We all love you and feel very connected to you and your family. I love to hear the updates on Eric and pray for him. Next time pleasssseee post a tissue alert or a Kleenex needed alert.
I have been out of the loop due to graduations and vacation. I was hoping that he was in the group that came ashore on Memorial Day. I almost asked you for an update on the dose last night, but you were heading to bed when I got on.
So now we need an update on your other son.
