Nit to pick.
There were LOTS of wars prior to Napoleon that were far more destructive. For instance, of the roughly six million Gauls, about 1/3 were killed by Julius Caesar and another third were sold into slavery.
It is estimated that 50 to 100,000,000 Chinese died in the Mongol conquest, with tens of millions more dying in the Muslim lands.
By these standards, the Napoleonic Wars were a Sunday afternoon tea-party.
