Their "abuse" of free speach was insignificant, but when free speach can be "abused" it implies that you're in "1984".All "abuse" of free speech is insignificant.
You probably wern't paying attention when so many were pointing out the slippery slope.
What must be sanctioned is physical harm or personal intimidation; all else is totally subjective and subject to instant abuse.

There is an overwhelming pressure against them from the american media,and that's also affecting the public opinion in a rather negative way. These women have no
political influence, and should not be attacked on such a scale for merely expressing their anti-war opinions which
are also shared by no small number of americans.
Their message appears as their free right to a free speech,and they could just view the organised negative response of media as an attack on their civil rights.
