Exactly. This is not a boycott. The boycott is a media-driven phenomenon. But the magic is over. I can't listen to them anymore. The cable channel and some of the radio stations are trying to start playing their music again. It isn't working, at least for me. I don't wish them ill, I don't want them to have a bad life. I just can't listen to them anymore, them and several others who have made similar remarks lately.
Its not a boycott; they're just over.

I agree I can't stand the Dixie Chicks.... But sometimes I see grammar mistakes and have to point them out!!
"The Dixie Chicks is one of the most talented musical groups ever. Their music is very, very tight.

I don't wish them ill, I don't want them to have a bad life I do wish them ill because of what they said. What they said was not an anti war statement. What they said was a gratuitous, unsubstantiated personal attack on a man who has little to be ashamed of in the last 10 years.
If they had said "we are against the war too", I think that's fine. Engaging in an attempt at character assasination is not fine.

The magic is over. Bump. I still like remembering how their music would affect me, but I don't listen to it as much anymore, I'll never buy any more of their CD or tickets, and the reason I have to remember how their music affected me is that it does not do so anymore. They took that away from me, those Indian-givers! ;^)
