It's actually not falling off the charts... Although their album dropped on the National 100 (according to Billboard), their album went from #2 to #1 on the country chart. Go figure... I guess that means that even though their album sales dropped, others' dropped even more drastically.

I don't understand who's buying this, unless it's backlash from libs, though I can't believe there are enough of them to make an impact

I think that time will have a affect. In things like this the band breaks up and they go their ways. I think the little blondie will screw up again and again. Fans are still Sheeple.

I'm SOOOO looking foreward to the numerous HEADLINES about their reception at various venues when they go on tour. It won't take too many unhappy fans to make a big STINK.

A relative (relative to the number of people who buy records) handful of outraged Freepers, many of whom never bought the Dixie Chicks anyway, a few boycotts, and some boos at a concert just don't make that much of a dent. A certain percentage of their fans never heard about what Maines said, many of them don't care as long as the music sounds good, and some who did care have since started listening again. No matter what we think of them, the Dixie Chicks aren't going bankrupt any time soon.
