Sounds like one of the countries in the former Yugoslavia.

It's definately southern Slavic but it's often not obvious which country a Slavic name will be from.

Your best bets for that one are Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia, Montenegro, or Bulgaria. I have a feeling Bulgaria for some reason.

I don't know positively, but it looks to be Balkan in origin, perhaps Serbian.

good luck

I believe "vic" ending a name is Serbian or from that part of the world

I agree.

It sounds like a name from the Balkans.

My guess would be Serbian. (I work with two Serbians. Their names follow a similar pattern.)

Thank you everybody for helping me out. I came up with this name from a newspaper article in the local paper. Yesterday police chased this car (he is from Chicago)around Rock County. The car crashed, then using a pipe and a knife he stole a car from somebody. The police continue to chase him and he crashed again. He threatened the police and they shot him, he is in the hospital. When his original car was found, it had a pipe bomb in it. They are saying that they don't know why he had a bomb. Hmm, he runs from the police, threatens them and has a bomb. I suspect he wasn't some kind of construction worker.

Exclude Bulgaria. Their names tend to end in 'ov' or 'off'. The 'ic' names usually come from the former Yugo.
