Man, this is getting tiresome.

Why the heck are the threads getting pulled so much?? This is ridiculus. Lots of FReepers have complained to JimRob about the threads getting pulled and, as one FReeper put it, "abuse of power by the Mods".

I think maybe Zav and MWS are right...maybe the VKs are becoming obsolete.

We aren't obsolete, we are getting fat and lazy on the Trolls coming in. The admin Mods are being alerted by someone at each thread...I believe someones ping list may have a name of an Admin Mod in it.

Hmmm. It probably differs from mod to mod. I don't blame them for not wanting to waste bandwidth on troll posts, but it IS fun for us VKs :) I dunno what we could do, 4mc.

Unfortunately, I think we just have to accept that this is the way that things are. The Mods run the show, and whether a thread gets pulled or not is their call. It's their job to make sure that bandwidth is not wasted so that the forum works smoothly. Sadly, we are not in much of a place to complain. There's just not much we can do about this.

I have even joked in the past about not pinging the Almighty Mod to troll threads, but even that is not a real option. The Mods have a right to know about disruptive activities that are occuring on this site. I would actually suggest that we be the first to alert the Mods on these matters. We aren't a lynch mob, as you know - we are the right hand of the Mods, their mighty servants!

So, I suggest alerting the mods and, on occasion, politely asking them to allow us our fun. If the Mod that responds removes the thread, then that was his or her call. I am sure, however, that the Mods will be much more happy for our presence if we are the ones alerting them and if we accept their decisions on these matters without complaint.

May the Mods be with you as you go forth to fight the horde, singing and crying, "Valhalla I am coming!!!"
