"ISSUED A STATEMENT BY HER PUBLICIST??"Why not say it on stage, every night, just like her INSULTS to the Commander In Chief??

I know she received from us FREEPERS, but where was the rest of the country?Rock and Country is where the difference is. Us rednecks tend to take a dim view of unpatriotic fools where rock fans -- or whatever that cacca is that Crow warbles -- tend to be a mite more understanding of traitorous views.

********* Freepers = Freelance comedians *************
...keyword: "free" and better than anything anyone gets paid for...ROTFLOL :-D
These idiots obviously got the message from home that they have just destroyed their careers...They already dissed the pop world when they refused to take the banjo out of "Cowboy Take Me Away", not even to metion their spat with Sony (who was trying to put restraints on the kind of music they wanted to produce, which was moreCountry and Bluegrass sounding - exactly what they did with their last album, "HOME"). So you know that they have got to be scrambling like crazy to try and fix the firestorm they have created in the more Conservative world of Country music fans, who would continue to buy albums sounding more like "Home" (the sound they prefer).
Sure, album sales on this CD were high but, I always wondered if it wasn't name recognition and loyalty that might dissipate (especially, the teeny-boppers who "don't like Country music , but they liked them") once they heard this "more traditional Country" music CD...

If the other two entertainers are not of a like mind as Ms Pasdar than I don't want to see them villified. I just hope they have enough money set aside to enjoy a comfortable retirement.

I will always be a rock n roll fan; I honestly cannot stomach country music and its damn fiddles. I hear a fiddle and a deep voice I turn it off. LOL!
As for rock and patriotism, did anyone forget Ted Nugent? And Elvis was a person who loved his country, despite his own personal flaws and always respected the president and our military.
But I do like Johnny Cash and the fact he has always been a pro Christian country artist who has integrity and stands up for American values.

Can you imagine the level of anti-American delerium that will pervade their next euro performance? I HOPE it makes them sick to their stomachs.

I don't know about the other two but I read somewhere that they have ranches around Austin so they're probably from around that part of the world. Yes. They used to sing at a local wateringhole/restaurant in Wimberley. Don't know if they still do. I moved from the area seven years ago. Wimberley is just SW of Austin in the lovely HillCountry.

I WAS a Dixie Chicks fan but no more! That apology was a crock of bull and fatal attempt at damage control. She said it and she meant it. I be damned if I'd make a trailer trash statement like that even if I thought it. That was totally un-American. I'll bet there are thousands of people who are embarrassed that the DixieDorks are from TEXAS. I will never listen to them again.

Dixie Chicks, seeing your naked bodies is not going to make me feel better about you being ashamed our president is from Texas but you all will make lot of women feel better about their bodies and that's a good thing! Even air brushed you all don't look that great. The magazine cover says a lot and before it I think I could have gotten over your un-American comment about our president.
