The Dixie Chicks said they were ashamed President Bush is from Texas while on stage during a concert while overseas. What a disappointment!! You can't get onto their web site at the moment to post anything ...probably too much traffic. I don't expect anything better from the likes of Cheryl Crow but these gals make their money from Conservative America or so you would think.

I can understand why.

It's a free country and the Dixie Chicks have every right to speak up and say what they want.

And the American public has the right to not purchase their CD's and to hit the radio button to another station when their songs are played.

Many of these entertainers have confused the right of "Free Speech", with the right to be an idiot and tend toward the latter.

I'm as outraged as any FReeper for what the DC's said about GWB. They need to pay the price in a big way. My point to you, eldumass, is that there are probably about 40 threads dealing with the Dixie Chicks. Now another one starts as if it's breaking news, as if one more thread with nothing new to discuss is needed. That's my point.
