This weekend I put a dozen, cement block weigted, cedar trees on the ice of my pond. Great cover this spring if the ice ever melts.
Fishing is slow. Caught nothing this weekend. Maybe I should try chopping a hole in the ice. Top water lures did not entice any strikes above the ice.

Could not agree more, Blunt. That ice will wear down the hooks on your top water plugs.
